On August 26, NineYin Sutra: Wuxia, an open-world martial arts game developed by Snail Games using Unreal Engine 5, officially made its debut at gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The first in-game PV was released, and the Steam store page went live simultaneously.

The in-game PV released for NineYin Sutra: Wuxia includes both open-world environment showcases and a tavern combat demonstration.
The PV opens with scenes of Jiangnan's landscape—taverns and teahouses intertwined with the buzz of the marketplace, as a horse is led through the streets, bringing the jianghu atmosphere vividly to life. Qiandeng Town, Yanyu Village, as well as a tea house and the Salt Gang, each make their appearance, accompanied by the distinctive musical style of the NineYin legacy, adding a deeper layer of wuxia charm and nostalgia. A scene of practicing qinggong (lightness skill) with a gourd showcases the unique imagination of the martial arts world. A diverse array of jianghu inhabitants go about their daily lives—scenes of blacksmithing, herbal medicine shops, and more sketch out the everyday tapestry of jianghu life gameplay. The jianghu does not belong only to great heroes—everyone living in it has their own story. Their obsessions, joys and sorrows, and fates are all quietly transformed upon crossing paths with the player. Every step the player takes rewrites the lives of others and reshapes the very course of the jianghu.
The combat demonstration highlights the classic "Virtual-Real-Parry" core mechanic, showcasing more flexible move combinations and offensive-defensive interplay. In response to different attacks, characters naturally chain together dodges, counters, and ripostes based on the opponent's momentum and posture; after successfully evading, they can follow up with acupressure-sealing moves to turn the tide. Qinggong, a signature feature of the NineYin IP, is no longer just about repositioning in combat—it integrates with the principles of borrowing and redirecting force. Environmental objects such as load-bearing pillars, walls, tables, and chairs can all serve as footholds for leaping, kicking, and pursuit. Throughout combat, collisions between moves and internal energy discharges generate tangible feedback within the environment—tables, chairs, and wooden benches may shake from the impact, or crack and topple when struck. Downed characters do not vanish; they still produce physical feedback when stepped on. Every detail reflects the care taken in crafting the "true environment" of this martial arts world.

On the first day of the show, the NineYin Sutra: Wuxia booth at A-041, Hall 8.1, Cologne Exhibition Centre, drew large crowds. The booth featured wooden training dummies and other elements to create a distinctly wuxia atmosphere. The first official in-game PV was continuously looped on the LED screen, drawing players from around the world to stop and watch, bringing the Chinese-born martial arts world to global players at gamescom.
